07 Nov @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

On Sunday, November 7, at 2PM, GSJC will host a showing of the film “They Ain’t Ready For Me.” This film is the story of Tamar Manasseh, the African-American rabbinical student who is leading the fight against senseless killings on the south side of Chicago. This film looks at the challenges and motivations of this fearless community leader as she works to prevent more people from being killed by gun violence.
The Director/Producer, Brad Rothschild, will be joining us via Zoom for Q&A after the viewing.
This powerful film will be shown both live in Memorial Hall in Southington’s First Congregational Church, and also online at the same time, 2PM. There is no charge but donations are welcome.
Please RSVP to Rabbi@gsjc.org, and indicate whether you plan to attend virtually or in person. If you plan on attending in person, please note that masks are required regardless of your vaccination status. If you plan to attend virtually, the Rabbi will send you the link to the movie, as well as the Zoom link for the discussion.
